Aaron Rodgers finally scored his first career touchdown for the New York Jets, and it couldn't have come at a better time for a team that was trailing the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
The Jets' offense was able to score its first touchdown of the game when Breece Hall raced into the end zone to make it 7-3, but the 49ers were ahead until Rodgers got it going late in the third quarter at Levi's Stadium.
Then, after the 49ers were offside down the right wing on a hot streak, Rodgers got a free play and knew exactly what to do with it.

He threw a pass to veteran receiver Allen Lazard, his old Green Bay Packers teammate who joined the Jets last season, and the man ran into the end zone to make the score 26-13.
The 36-yard touchdown pass was something the Jets and their fans had been waiting for for more than 500 days since Rodgers was unable to play for the team after rupturing his Achilles on the fourth snap of his 2023 home debut.
49ers star Christian McCaffrey will miss the Jets game with a calf injury.
This time last year, when the Jets took on the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium, it was a truly disappointing moment.
Rodgers, who ran onto the field waving an American flag, limped off the field with an Achilles injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

However, Rodgers has been working hard to get back on the field since then and there was talk of him being available to play late last season.
But Jets fans had to wait an entire offseason and training camp to see Rodgers in action again.
There was probably a collective sigh of relief after he completed his first few series on Monday night, but Rodgers and the Jets were losing a game against the reigning NFC champions, and his first touchdown pass came at the perfect time to make it a close second half game.
