Election season is in full swing, with absentee voting opening Saturday in seven states: Delaware, Indiana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Vermont.
That means more than a dozen states, including Wisconsin, Minnesota and Virginia, have begun voting. The states that begin early voting Saturday aren't competitive at the presidential level, but two are competitive in House races.
Indiana 1st District: Democrat Rep. Frank Marban won his first election here handily in 2020, but redistricting limited his victory to less than six points in 2022. This year, he faces off against local Republican Rep. Randy Niemeyer. This northwest district includes two of the state's most competitive counties, Lake and Porter. This race is ranked D-leaning in the Fox News Power Rankings. New Jersey 7th District: Republicans flipped New Jersey's 7th District in 2022, but it was a close call. Incumbent Rep. Tom Kean Jr. won by just under three points. He faces off against teacher and Democrat Sue Altman this year in a district that includes Bedminster, Somerset and Union counties. This race is ranked R-leaning in the Power Rankings.
