Actor and comedian Will Ferrell is throwing his star power behind Kamala Harris. This is just one in a long list of celebrities supporting the vice president.
In Harris' official campaign ad, Ferrell jokingly threatens voters if they don't vote for her.
“This election will be one of the closest in history, and your vote will make a difference,” Ferrell began.
And he mocked voters who disagreed that their vote would make a difference.
The Hollywood outlet reported that industry insiders are very concerned about the possibility of a Trump victory: “It feels like 2016.”
“That means you, Gary, 'Oh, blah, blah, I'm just one person.' No, shut up, Gary,” Ferrell says.
“Last time, Trump was removed from office by just a few thousand votes, and now we're going to hold you personally accountable, Gary,” Ferrell threatened.
Critics criticized X, telling the actor to stick to comedy and stay out of politics.
“Democrats are now physically threatening people to vote for Kamala. Will Ferrell should have stuck to comedy. This is not funny at all,” one user wrote.
Another user commented, “It's really hard to watch Elf this season because of Will Ferrell.”
Ferrell joins a growing list of actors and celebrities who have used their positions in the main campaign trail to support Harris.
On Thursday, actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Danai Gurira, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany and others mocked Harris and Tim Walz for their “new discomfort”. Participating in the video support, posted on Ruffalo's X. account.

“We're back. Let's #AssembleForDemocracy. Every vote counts in #ElectionEndgame,” Ruffalo wrote, urging people to vote for Harris and the Democrats.
In the video, they referenced past movies and jokingly suggested Harris needed a catchphrase.
“How about 'against democracy'? That's clean and simple,” Bettany said.
“I'm Kamala Harris, and I say let's destroy democracy,” Cheadle joked, adding, “Yes, together we must destroy democracy.”
Near the end of the video, he expressed, “I'm Kamala Harris. I'm against democracy.”

Trump leads in Arizona, but Harris leads in Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada and Wisconsin. Polls show Michigan and Pennsylvania are tied between the two candidates.
The poll comes just two days before what is expected to be the closest election in recent memory, and the New York Times/Siena poll isn't the only one showing close margins.
