Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning ran away from home on Saturday to escape the stigma surrounding his family.
Manning scored a touchdown on the longest play of his college career, a 67-yard run, to extend Texas' lead over UTSA.
It was Manning's second touchdown in three snaps on offense. Manning came off the bench to play after Texas starter Quinn Ewers was sidelined with an injury. Ewers' status is unknown.

On Manning's first play, he connected with wide receiver DeAndre Moore for a touchdown to put Texas up 21-0.
UTSA took just two plays on its next drive to score a 53-yard touchdown run by Robert Henry to cut the lead to 21-7, but Manning quickly answered back.
The Longhorns' next possession began with an 8-yard run by running back Quintrevion Wisner, and on the next play Manning ran for 67 yards to extend the lead to 28-7 at halftime. Manning threw three more touchdown passes in the second half as Texas won, 56-7.
Manning's longevity was a strange sight for fans accustomed to watching his two uncles, former NFL stars Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.
Peyton and Eli were known as old-school pocket passers who rarely played the run, and both former quarterbacks were often mocked for their lack of speed, especially later in their careers.

But Arch showed that he brings different elements to the table.
Manning put together a similar sequence when he replaced Ewers in a blowout loss to Colorado State on Aug. 31. He completed 5 of 6 passes for 95 yards and his first touchdown pass and his first rushing score on the next drive. Texas won, 52-0.
The five-star freshman from Isidore Newman School in New Orleans appeared in just two games for the Longhorns last season, with Ewers serving as the team's starter.
Ewers returned as a starter this year under coach Steve Sarkisian after last season's College Football Playoff loss to Washington and was active in Saturday's win, completing 20 of 27 passes for 260 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Manning was the Longhorns' third quarterback last season, but with Malik Murphy transferring to Duke, Manning is now the No. 2 quarterback behind Ewers.
If Ewers is injured and misses an extended period of time, Manning could be in line to make his first collegiate start.
