An unprecedented number of viewers watched Saturday's Army-Navy game.
The Midshipmen pulled off a 31-13 upset in Landover, Maryland, extending their all-time series lead to 63-55-7 and ending their losing streak against the Black Knights at two.
For the first time since 2020, Donald Trump attended the game, this time as president-elect.
President Biden has not participated in this contest since being elected, but he did participate in 2011 and 2012.

President Trump watched the game from a luxury suite with Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Elon Musk, Pete Hegseth, Daniel Penny and others. And it's no exaggeration to say that many people tuned in to get a glimpse of the soon-to-be-sworn-in 47th president.
In fact, Trump's presence made the game the most-watched game in history.
The game averaged 9.4 million viewers, the highest since at least 1990. The previous highest viewership was 8.45 million in 1992, and this year's viewership was 31% higher than last year's 7.2 million.
This is arguably the most-watched Army vs. Navy game since CBS took over the broadcast rights in 1996. In fact, it was the most-watched game on CBS this year, second only to the Big Ten title game.
The game ranked 11th as the most-watched game in college football this season, surpassing the three conference championship games that included the Big 12, and was the most-watched game not involving the Big Ten or SEC. It's a match.

Viewership for this game has increased since it was moved in 2009 to the week following conference championship weekend. Today, this is the only college game played on this day. This year, both teams are ranked for the first time since 1960. This year's game was also the highest scoring Army-Navy game since 2011.
Navy jumped out to a 14-0 lead, and even though Army cut the deficit to four points, the Midshipmen never looked back, scoring a 52-yard touchdown and finding the end zone again shortly after a fake punt. i got you. The victory gave the Navy, which also defeated the Air Force earlier this year, the Commander-in-Chief Trophy.
Navy had won 16 of 17 games, followed by Army, which had won six of the previous eight meetings. The Midshipmen fell to 9-3 on the season, while Army fell to 11-2.

Both teams are now focused on their respective bowl games. Navy will play Oklahoma State in the Armed Forces Bowl, and Army will play Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl.
