The NFL, UFC, boxing, and college football were in contention, and there was one underlying theme throughout the sports world.
It wasn't an individual battle or a grid match. Instead, it was President-elect Donald Trump and the dance he performed during a campaign rally. Support for Trump may have trickled down from the sports world in the days leading up to the election, but it exploded over the weekend.
There was no Trump dance in the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, but Paul and Tyson have both expressed support for Trump in the past. Paul endorsed him in the 2024 election and even celebrated his victory in the aftermath.

Trump's dance moves were on full display at UFC 309.
Jon Jones executed Trump's move shortly after defeating Stipe Miocic by knockout as the president-elect sat cageside with his future Cabinet nominees. Shortly after, he pointed his finger at Trump and handed his UFC Heavyweight Championship to Trump to keep.
“…and tonight was incredibly special,” Jones said. “Finish (Daniel Cormier) is up there as well. Stephane Bonnard was the first star I fought when I was young. Everyone around me told me I was nothing, I couldn’t do that. And I really had to.'' Working on meditation and building my self-esteem to win against Mauricio Bonar for the first time taught me that even though I wasn't good at anything, I could be great. It was very personal.
“And tonight, tonight is the biggest moment of my life. It feels great to stand in front of the president and talk about Jesus and let the world know how proud I am to be America's champion.” It felt like a great way to finish Stipe.'' “
Beau Nickal also paid tribute to President Trump after his victory. Instead of dancing, he pretended to swing a golf club.

President Trump's golf swing and dance were demonstrated Sunday by Detroit Lions defensemen Za'Darius Smith and Malcolm Rodriguez. Both players showed off their moves after sacking Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers showed off his dance moves after scoring a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins.
“I've seen everyone do it,” Bowers said, according to USA Today. “I watched a UFC fight last night and Jon Jones fought. I like watching UFC, so I saw that and thought it was cool.”
Tennessee Titans wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook Iquine did a celebratory dance after scoring a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
It seems like no one has new dance moves in college football. But last week, the entire sports world was in an uproar.
UFC president Dana White was asked why he thinks fighters will be drawn to the next president.
“If you look at the election, the whole country is concerned with President Trump right now,” White said. “She won all the battleground states. She (Vice President Harris, the Democratic candidate) only won in states where you didn't need an ID to vote. It would have been interesting if you had to have an ID to vote. I feel like the whole thing is…” I feel like someone hit the reset button.

“No matter how this election went, everyone was expecting a big loss one way or the other and there would be no more bulls. I think everyone was tired of the bulls. We're all tired. We're all tired. We just want to live our lives and run our businesses and raise our families and do all of that. But hopefully all this will subside over the next four years. ”
