Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown scored a goal against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium two weeks ago, and celebrated like any NFL athlete would – he was saved. Jumped into the military kettle.
Brown's 19-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow gave the Bengals a 14-10 lead in the second quarter. Cincinnati defeated Dallas 27-20 thanks to Burrow's touchdown pass to Ja'Marr Chase with nearly a minute left in the game.

Earlier this week, Brown learned the hard way the consequences of his celebration, even as it drew attention to the Salvation Army, which has worked with the Cowboys on various initiatives for more than 30 years. He was fined $5,000.
“I'm going to appeal it tomorrow,” he said Tuesday on The Athletic's “Scoop City” podcast. “I would rather cut it in half and donate it to the Salvation Army. There are (kettles) in every corner (of the field), and there are four of them, like bait. What I'm putting in is the “setting.'' “

The Bengals selected Brown in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. He planted the flag as the team's top running back this season.
Brown appeared in 14 games and had 832 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, and 47 catches for 318 yards and four touchdown catches.
This is not the first time the NFL has fined the Salvation Army for its actions.
