Speaking at an event in Pittsburgh, Biden said Trump doesn't care about union members and is willing to eliminate benefits such as health care and pension plans if he wins a second presidential election. “I'm a loser,” he said repeatedly.
“Donald Trump is a loser,” Biden told the audience. “He's a loser as a candidate and a loser as a person.”

His remarks were aimed specifically at Philadelphia's union members, who until recently have been a reliable base of support for Democratic candidates. But in recent years, labor politics has shifted in favor of Trump, particularly in Rust Belt countries, with many workers citing his approachable rhetoric to appeal to working-class voters.
Some long-standing unions are refusing to support 2024 presidential candidates outright, citing ideological divisions among their members.
Many have also been lukewarm about Harris' campaign, believing she has done little to gain votes in the months since she entered the presidential race.
