WNBA rookie sensation Kaitlyn Clark further strengthened her case for Rookie of the Year status on Friday against rival Chicago Sky's Angel Reese.
Clark broke multiple WNBA records during the Indiana Fever's 100-81 win over the Sky, during which she showed off her brand new Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE shoes and showed off her Kobe Bryant merch in front of Reese.
Reiss said Kobe Bryant was one of his favorite athletes, and even partnered his foundation with the former NBA star's foundation to promote a clothing line last year.
Clark didn't slow down on the basketball court either, recording career-highs of 31 points and 12 assists in the win, breaking several WNBA records in the process.
It was the first 30-point, 12-assist game in WNBA history, making her just the fifth player in NBA history and the first rookie to record 30+ points and 10+ assists in a game.
Additionally, Clark recorded 11 double-doubles, tying her with the WNBA record for most double-doubles by a guard in a single season.
She also broke the record for most games in a season with 20+ points and 10+ assists in a single game in WNBA history.
But that's not all.

Clark also passed Ticha Penicheiro for the most games with 10 or more assists by a rookie in WNBA history.
With this performance, Clark became the first player in WNBA history to play multiple games with at least 25 points, 10 assists and five or more three-pointers.
Friday's historic performance came just three days after Clark set a new WNBA record for most 3-pointers made, surpassing the mark first set by Atlanta Dreams' Rhyne Howard. She finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists on 3-of-12 3-pointers as Indiana earned its 15th win.
That same night, she became the first WNBA player to record at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in six consecutive games. This marked her 10th consecutive game with at least 15 points and five rebounds, joining Diana Taurasi in an elite club of players who have achieved this feat.

Breaking groundbreaking women's basketball records is nothing new for Clark, despite being a WNBA rookie.
Clark will play his collegiate career at the University of Iowa from 2020-2024 and is the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer for both men and women. He also broke the NCAA record for three-pointers made in a single game in a season and set the NCAA Tournament record for most assists in a single season.
Clark is hailed by many as a player unlike anything women's basketball has ever seen.

Friday's win also marks a new chapter in the WNBA's hottest young rivalry, which has already been marked by several hostile moments surrounding Clark, who was the subject of an infamous illegal hip check by Chicago Sky forward Chennedy Carter on June 1 and a punch to the head by Sky rookie and longtime college rival Angel Reese on June 16.
“Nobody says more trash than Kaitlyn,” Sky coach Teresa Witherspoon told reporters on June 27.
