Indiana Feverstar Kate Linklark began the 2025 WNBA season with a triple-double in Chicago Sky's 93-58 loss on Saturday.
During the game, Clark was asked for a terrible foul after a hard foul against rival Angel Reese.
The Star Sky Center was angry at Clark's foul and chased her in a fierce exchange split by Sky and Fever players. Clark left and never saw Reese as she continued walking towards her.

Although they looked nervous on the court, Clark and Reese said the foul wasn't so bad that it looked like a post-match.
“Don't make it something that doesn't,” Clark said after dropping 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. “It was a good play in basketball, I don't know what the references saw to upgrade it, and that leads to their discretion.
“It's a foul that puts them on the free throw line. I've seen a lot of basketball in my life. That was exactly that. I wasn't trying to do anything malicious. That's not the type of player I'm in.”
Angel Reese, Caitlyn Clark heated exchange after hard foul during the SkyFever game
During the play, Reese scored an offensive rebound, and Clark appeared to be moving towards the referee, who said the Sky Center had pushed away a fellow heat player. Clark then purposely fouled Reese and hugged her to prevent a simple layup.
The ESPN broadcast debated whether Clark pushed Reese slightly with his left arm after committing a foul.
Without elaborating, Reese called it Clark's “basketball play.”
Reese struggled to shoot in his season debut, scoring 12 points on five of the 14 from the field and grabbed a game-high 17 rebound.
It was a brief moment, but given the history of Clark and Reese, it is another chapter in their rivalry dating back to their college days. Because of Clark and Reese's history, Heat and Sky are now rivals.

Last season, Fever took three of his four matchups.
Stephanie White, who won her first victory as Fever's head coach, also commented on Clark's foul.
“No one is going to get something easy for us,” White said. “We're going to be a tough defensive team. I thought it was a clear play on the ball.”
“Clark's foul met the standard for Fragrant Foul 1. The winding up, impact and follow-through to extend the left hand onto Reese's back are considered unnecessary contact as they are considered not legitimate basketball play.”
“After the foul, Boston has physical provocation skills, and Reese has verbal skills.
