Tensions were high early during Thursday nights of Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream.
The two teams were removed for 48 hours from the fight up to the final seconds. So there probably were a few carryovers.
In under 30 seconds in the first quarter, Caitlin Clark and Rhyne Howard had to exchange and separate several words. Howard was defending a full court with Clark, who was dribbling the court.

See also squealed the play, and the two collided with each other. Both appeared to have their arms wide open, and Clark began to move away from the situation before Howard could move forward. However, one of Howard's teammates quickly stepped in and took Howard away.
“I'm not scared of you,” Clark seemed to say, and she was supported by her teammates.
Despite the nervous moments on Thursday, they shared something interesting earlier this month in the preseason.

Overall it was a late night for Clark. Clark only headed six points in the fourth quarter. She scored 27 points against Atlanta two nights ago.
Indiana was 75-71, just over two minutes, but finished the game with a 10-1 run. Clark added five points in the fourth quarter to finish with 11.
Clark's teammate Natasha Howard led the way with 26 points, while Leanne Howard dropped 24 points.
The brawl between Clark and Howard came five days after Clark and Angel Rees had to separate. Clark was asked to foul a terrible thing by Reese. Reese had Clark's words.
The incident prompted an investigation into alleged hateful comments by games fans towards Lease. Reese reposted Tiktok, who she said was “unsafe” playing for Indiana.
