“At 3:55pm today, a disturbance occurred between two adults at the Nees/Minewawa intersection, one person on the sidewalk and one person in the vehicle at the intersection involved physically becoming disabled.
Sergeant Chris Hutchison said the person was arrested for assaulting with a weapon and obstructing police.
“There is no room for violence or property damage,” Hutchison said.
Meanwhile, the plane flying a banner that read “Not Women's Sports Boys” passed the California Athletics Championship on Friday.
Video provided by California activist Beth Bourne to Fox News Digital shows plans to fly overhead at Buchanan High School's Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The stunts were organized by two women's advocacy groups. Women are genuine and an independent council for women's sports.
“California is beginning to enjoy the consequences of opposing federal law and bravely hurting girls,” said Kim Jones, co-founder of the press release icon, which released the Aerial Banner.
“This state's Governor Newsom and lawmakers will continue to prioritize granting boys the right to deprive them of opportunity and recognition to a few boys. No one boy should be in girls' sports. That's the easiest problem in the world. It's time for California to pay, and it's time for them to correct these mistakes.”
California town gathers behind Trump hosting athletics championships amid a trans-athlete controversy
Witnesses at the event told Fox News Digital that transgender protesters attended the event to support transgender athlete AB Hernandez.
The entire athletics postseason for the competition and the entire California Interstate Federation (CIF) has been under a national microscope for the last few weeks. Transathlete AB Hernandez of Jurupa Valley High School dominated the women's track and field postseason in 2025, spurring national backlash and President Donald Trump's attention.
Trump sent a social post of truth Tuesday morning, warning state and government Gavin Newsom of potential funding and orders to local authorities to prevent trans athletes from competing in the girls category.

The Justice Department then announced Wednesday that it would begin an investigation into the CIF and California Attorney General Rob Bonta on state laws that would allow biologically male transathletes to compete with girls and women.
The CIF announced a pair of rules changes in response to the backlash on Tuesday and Wednesday, expanding the size of its competitor pools and handing out medals to “biological women” athletes displaced by transgender athletes at the competition.
