Exclusive: California High School's National Athletics Championships are becoming one of the most unprecedented high school sporting events in recent history.

The Inter-Calif. Competition Federation (CIF) has announced a series of drastic rule changes leading up to the event to accommodate women's competitors amid a national debate involving trans-athletes competing in the women's category.

But now, multiple families of girls who have already been refuge in trans athletes at previous competitions have opposed the Commonwealth and expressed dissatisfaction with the change.

On Tuesday, the CIF announced it would expand the size of its Championship Competition pool and invite “biological female” athletes who missed to meet the title in one place because the trans athlete finished first in last week's qualifying round.

Then on Wednesday, the federation announced that if a girl who missed a medal finish comes behind a trans athlete, she would recognize a female athlete on the medal podium.

Crean Lutheran athletics star Reese Hogan finished second in the triple jump in the southern final on May 17th to Julpa Valley High School's trans athlete AB Hernandez. Later, after Hernandez resigned, Hogan stepped into his first place. The stunt went viral as Hogan was praised as a heroine by women's sports rights activists.

However, the latest rules change for the CIF is not to give Hogan the number one medal in that event.

Hogan's family said, “The recent changes to the CIF rules clearly acknowledge the failures on their part. But what they proposed suggests we are not really reaching what every girl really needs in all sports. I was second in the CIF.

“Unfortunately, we cannot reconsider that moment to correct this injustice. This issue transcends a single tournament, a sport, or an individual. It is fundamental about the right of all women to compete fairly among themselves. We deserve the opportunity and continue to defend it.”

Hogan previously told Fox News Digital that Hernandez had found a situation related to “Sad.”

“It's just a bit sad to watch. He's clearly a really talented athlete. We all saw him jumping and stuff. I wish him good luck, but in the boys' division,” Hogan previously told Fox News Digital about his competition with athletes. “The specific benefits he has are pretty obvious and it's obviously just sad to see that as a woman.”

Meanwhile, the family of Olivia Viola, a teammate of Hogan's Clean Lutheran, is also not happy with the rules change.

“We are grateful that a few female athletes will regain their ability to compete with the state, but women will win legitimate titles in competition this weekend, but unfortunately the CIFS trial program doesn't actually modify anything.

“Unfortunately, there is a perception that California has no intention of protecting girls in the way it really is necessary. The pilot program acknowledges that it is a mistake to allow biological men to compete in the female category. Now it's time for a full course revision.

President Donald Trump weighed on the situation that sent a true social post on Tuesday morning, warning state and government Gavin Newsom of potential funding cuts and orders to local governments on Saturday to prevent trans athletes from competing in the women's category. The first rule change came hours after Trump's post.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday it will begin an investigation into the CIF and California Attorney General Rob Bonta on state laws that allow biologically male trans athletes to compete with girls and women. The second rule change came shortly after its announcement.

On Tuesday, the family of another girl's track star who was chased by Hernandez in the track and field postseason, La Canada High School's Katie McGuinness, told Fox News Digital that they were grateful for Trump's intervention.

“I am grateful that President Trump is fighting for female athletes and giving them a fair shot to compete on equal arenas. There is a 'solution' to this situation at the CIF. This allows additional girls at state championships where trans athletes were unable to qualify because they took their spots.

“Ensuring biological men can compete in women's sports is unfair, unfair and contrary to common sense,” the family added.

Katie previously opposed the CIF in an interview with Fox News, by allowing the situation to reach it ever.

“I have nothing as a person for this athlete, nothing for the trans community,” McGuinness said. “My message today is actually for the CIF and for them to act quickly and in a timely manner, because this is truly a time-sensitive issue.”
