The Cleveland Cavaliers are eager to start the 2024-25 season, and center Jarrett Allen punctuated that statement with an impressive trick shot before Monday night's game tipoff.
The Cavaliers' game against the Utah Jazz was postponed due to an issue with one of the rims at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Allen enjoyed making sure to stay warmed up before tipping.

Allen went to half court and took a shot backwards. He sunk it and the arena crowd went wild.
The All-Star center is averaging 13.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers this season. He also averages one steal and nearly one block per game. He earned votes for Defensive Player of the Year last season.

He is in his fourth full season with the Cavs. He was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets midway through the 2020-21 season as part of a blockbuster deal that saw James Harden head East in a trade that included the Houston Rockets.
Cleveland has been one of the bright spots in the NBA this season. The Cavaliers have jumped out to a 15-game winning streak since the beginning of the year and have maintained that pace despite losing four games on the year. Heading into the game against Utah, the team had lost just once in December.

With the postseason rush starting in earnest this week, the Cavaliers were looking to start the holiday break atop the Eastern Conference and on a high note. The Cavaliers have three days off before beginning a four-game road trip starting Friday against the Denver Nuggets.
