After Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce noted something unusual about the Broncos' cornerbacks.
“Who would have thought that one of the best defensemen in the league would get the white corner?” Kelce said on a recent episode of “New Heights.”
Kelce was referring to Riley Moss, who was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Iowa State and is in his second year with the Broncos.

Moss, 24, was the first white cornerback to start a game since Jason Seehorn last started for the New York Giants in 2002.
Moss is a key part of a solid Broncos defense that is allowing the fourth-fewest points per game (17.7) in the league.
Moss appeared in 14 games as a rookie last season, but did not start. Moss started every game this season and recorded 43 solo tackles, five passes defended and one interception.
Jason Kelce, Travis' older brother and co-host of the podcast, asked if Moss is a true outside cornerback, rather than a safety who positions himself as a cornerback in certain defensive packages.
“Yeah, 21 (Moss' jersey number), starter. But he's hiding it. He's wearing long sleeves. He's hiding it, and I think he's wearing a turtleneck too. “I think so,” Travis replied.

The Kells brothers then made some jokes about Moss wearing long sleeves.
“Smart, please don't…” Jason started, then burst into laughter. “Don't let them see your skin, don't let them see your skin.”
“[Moss]is hiding it. Also, who's white? I don't know,” Jason said with a laugh.

After some jokes, Travis brought the conversation back to earth and praised Moss.
“Seriously, honestly, that kid can make plays. Everybody there, their safeties, I got covered by the linebackers to make plays. They give you a different look. “I'm here,” Travis said.
Cooper DeJean, another white cornerback in the NFL, was a teammate of Moss's at the University of Iowa.

The Philadelphia Eagles selected DeJean in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Travis scored the Chiefs' only touchdown in a 16-14 win over Denver, catching eight passes for 64 yards in addition to the touchdown.
With the win, the Chiefs remain the last undefeated team in the NFL, but they face a big test this week on the road against the Buffalo Bills in a heavyweight battle.
