Colin Kaepernick hasn't scored a snap in the NFL since January 1, 2017, but he can't stop throttling his hopes for another shot as a league quarterback.
Kaepernick's longtime girlfriend Nessa Diab revealed the former San Francisco 49ers star who kneeled in the national anthem in 2016 in protest of racial injustice in the US.

“Every day, every day,” she told TMZ Sports over the weekend. “Nothing has changed.”
She added that “of course” he still wants to play.
“If they let him do that, it all depends on the team,” she said.
Kaepernick, 37, is the last one to be the 49ers during the 2016 season. He was 17 of 22 for 215 yards and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks. Since then, the team has not been interested in Kaepernick.

Kaepernick has also built his social activist platform that knows your rights camp and Kaepernick Publishing. He compared the NFL Draft to slave auctions, suggesting that law enforcement was being called for the abolition of law enforcement and that the NFL has not taken any meaningful steps to address social injustice.
Late last year, he admitted to NPR that he missed football and was still trained if the team called.
“I'll miss it forever,” he promoted the new children's book, “We Are Free You & Me,” to the outlet in October. “And I continue to train for it.
“At the end of the day, I don't want to be in a position where I have to look back and question whether I gave it everything to try to pursue it. The reason I'm not playing is because of work ethics or commitment, but because I held it.”
Kaepernick told Sky Sports that he believes he can lead his team to the Super Bowl.
“We're still training, but we're still pushing,” he said. “Hopefully we have to open it up to one of these team owners.

“It's something I trained for a lifetime. I think it's a big moment for me and a huge accomplishment so that I can get back on the field. I think I can bring a lot to the team and help them win the championship.”
