Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has expressed his dimorandum about comments made by one of the players on Wednesday.
Defensive lineman DJ Hicks was asked what the defensive lineroom motto was saying.
When asked what it was “CBO” and what it represents, Hicks said, “a simple term, “Chalkwoman.” Let's say that,” Hicks said via Eagle.

“That mentality, it stands for being offensive. Every time we go out on the field, we try to put our hands on someone else's face. We definitely don't want to be.
Hicks tried to clean up the “B” part of his motto, but that backfired. Elko quickly addressed Hicks' comments.
“It's telling something that shouldn't be communicated, so we're going to deal with it and deal with it,” Elko said Wednesday through Eagle. “It was stated to be absolutely ridiculous.”

Last season, Elko was the first Aggies head coach, and he led the team to an 8-5 record.
Last season was his first as a Texas A&M head coach, but Elko, who previously was the team's defensive coordinator, acquired head coach at Duke before the 2022-2023 season.

Elko returned to Texas A&M as head coach just two seasons after the Aggies fired Jimbo Fisher and then left for Duke.
Elko will step up as NIC Schoolton, Shemar Stewart and Shemar Turner play a bigger role heading into the NFL, leaning against the rest of Hicks and his defensive line next season.
