The Oregon Ducks solidified their status as the best team in the nation with a blowout win over Michigan on Saturday.
The Ducks were unanimously ranked No. 1 in the latest Associated Press college football Top 25 poll, and Dillion Gabriel stole the Heisman Trophy buzz with his performance. He recorded 294 passing yards and two total touchdowns.
It was not so easy for other citizens. Georgia had to do everything it could to fend off Florida State, but Ohio State outscored Penn State 6-3 in the second half to win the matchup, while Houston was demolished against Kansas State. It was a huge upset.
With that said, here are some of the winners and losers from Week 10 of the college football season.

Oregon State: The Oregon Ducks showed the nation why they are one of the teams to beat this season. Dillon Gabriel played like a top quarterback and easily defeated Michigan, 31-10. On Sunday, the Ducks were unanimously voted the No. 1 team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Colorado: Although he didn't play Saturday, Deion Sanders and the Buffs were given a path to the College Football Playoff. Thanks to Saturday's losses to Iowa State and Kansas State, contention for the Big 12 title game is on. Colorado, which was deregistered after the loss to Nebraska, needs a win to claim the Big 12 title, dropping one more game to Iowa State. The way college football works is crazy.
South Carolina: How about Gamecock? The biggest upset of the day was South Carolina defeating Texas A&M just one week after the Aggies' stellar win over LSU. Shane Beamer pulled off his November magic once again, and the SEC is now wide open with every team in the conference suffering at least one loss. A solid weekend for South Carolina.
Vanderbilt: Once again, Diego Pavia beats an Alabama team. Vanderbilt achieved bowl eligibility and picked up its sixth win, this time against Auburn. This is the second time this year that Diego Pavia has defeated Auburn, following last year's win against New Mexico State. It's a very important day for the Commodores!
Ryan Day: It might have been Ryan Day's biggest win since joining the Buckeyes. His Buckeyes have lost to Michigan three years in a row, but this year's Wolverines are a far cry from past years, and this was the win Day needed. Michigan fans will probably laugh at OSU not having to go through a stout Wolverines team to make noise, but if you're a Buckeye, who cares?
Cam Ward: Miami quarterback Cam Ward had a big performance in the Hurricanes' 53-31 win over Duke. The Hurricanes, led by Ward's 400 passing yards and four touchdowns, finished the game 36-3 on a second-half run and won. Miami is 9-0 on the season, and the way Ward plays, there's a good chance his name will be called early in the NFL Draft.

Iowa State: Running back Caleb Johnson is an All-America candidate and has a few important games left before he sneaks into the Heisman conversation. NFL teams interested in returning star prospects in the upcoming draft will no doubt be paying close attention.
Jackson Dart: Ole Miss quarterback Jackson Dart had a record-breaking performance in the Rebels' blowout win over Arkansas on Saturday. He threw four touchdown passes in the first half, giving Ole Miss a 35-10 lead at halftime, and finished the game with 515 passing yards and six touchdowns, leading the program in single-game yards passing and passing. He set a touchdown record.
Indiana: The Hoosiers football team was able to overcome an early 10-0 deficit and ultimately defeat Michigan State in convincing fashion. No. 8 Indiana improved to 9-0 on the season with a 47-10 win on Saturday. It was the first time in program history that the Hoosiers recorded wins in all of their first nine games played. Indiana quarterback Curtis Rourke had an effective return from injury, finishing the day with 263 passing yards and four touchdowns. Indiana continues to exceed preseason expectations.

Clemson: Talk about a tough time. Clemson entered the game against Louisville with a clear path to the ACC title game, but that is now gone. Saturday night's embarrassing performance and SMU's defeat of Pittsburgh puts the Tigers in a serious predicament heading into the ACC title game, but I'm not even going to discuss the College Football Playoff. It was a bad day for Dabo Swinney.
Georgia: Yes, the Bulldogs beat Florida, but they also look like a mess on offense right now, especially quarterback Carson Beck, who finished the day with three interceptions. The Dawgs hung on desperately in the fourth quarter against the Gators' third-string QB. I don't know what Kirby Smart has to do with this offense right now, but with a trip to Ole Miss coming up this week, the better to figure it out soon. It's been an awkward day for the Bulldogs, but Lane Kiffin is waiting to pounce.
James Franklin: Sure, this loss doesn't hurt Penn State's chances of making the playoffs – they have a cupcake schedule to thank for that – but it does give hope that they do something there. With Saturday's loss, Franklin is 1-7 at home against top-10 teams and 6-10 at home against top-ranked teams since taking over at Penn State. , fell to 1-9 against top-five teams and 1-10 against Ohio State. What is the definition of insanity?
Iowa State: The Cyclones enter the matchup with Texas Tech with a perfect 7-0 record and a top-10 ranking. Iowa State narrowly escaped last week's game against Central Florida to secure its seventh win of the season, but was still considered the favorite going into last Saturday's game against the Red Raiders. The 23-22 loss to Texas Tech was due to two factors. It was Iowa State's first loss of 2024, but it also tightened the competition for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game in December. BYU and Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes have both lost just one game in conference play and are strong contenders for the Big 12 title.

Texas A&M: With just one blowout loss, the Aggies' hopes of winning an SEC title appear to be all but dashed. They have a chance to continue their mission as one of the season's best stories and compete for an expanded playoff spot. But if their recent loss shows who they really are, forget it.
Florida State: The 1-8 Seminoles scored a season-low 11 points in a loss to North Carolina over the weekend and have slumped for five straight games. Head coach Mike Norvell called the loss “disappointing” after Florida State's offense gained just 201 yards. UNC running back Omarion Hampton broke through the Seminoles' defense with four touchdown runs and a 49-yard touchdown reception in a 35-11 victory.
