Shocking news broke in the college football recruiting world Thursday night that Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall prospect on the ESPN 300, has committed from LSU to the University of Michigan. It was done.
Michigan reportedly pulled out all the stops and checkbooks to bring Underwood, a star quarterback from Belleville High School, to the state.
The high school is located 30 minutes from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Underwood announced the news in a video on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Hometown Hero.”

With less than two weeks left until the early signing period for high school athletes, this is a big move for coach Sherone Moore and the Wolverines.
Underwood made history with this transfer to Michigan State, becoming the highest-rated commitment in the program's existence, not to mention being the top recruit in Moore's first class.
Moore will become the head coach at the University of Michigan after the team wins the national title in 2023, filling the vacancy left by Jim Harbaugh as head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.
According to On3, the University of Michigan is willing to offer Underwood a four-year, $10.5 million NIL, an unprecedented amount for a player who never played a snap in college.
The report added earlier this month that LSU expects Underwood to remain loyal to LSU after signing with the Tigers in January.
