Colorado still loves prime time (no pun intended) in the Big 12 league.
The Buffaloes came away with an incredible victory over Baylor University, winning 38-31 in overtime in their first Big 12 Conference game since 2010 after a hard-fought battle.
After Baylor missed a 45-yard field goal to take a two-point lead, Colorado had one more chance with 2:19 left and pulled off a miracle.

With the game running, Shedell Sanders sent a free pass to Will Shepard inside the 5-yard line, but it was dropped. But on the next play (the final play of regulation), Sanders rolled left and headed for the end zone again, where it was caught by LaJontae Webster as time expired. The ensuing PAT was successful, sending the game into overtime.
Baylor won the overtime coin toss and went on the defensive, but it didn't matter to Colorado as Micah Welch scored from 1 yard out on the Buffaloes' seventh possession to give them a 38-31 lead.
Baylor made a furious run to get to the 2-yard line, but two-way superstar Travis Hunter induced a fumble by Dominique Richardson on the goal line, sending the ball through the back of the end zone for the game-ending touchback.
Colorado fans rushed onto the field while the play was under review, but they did not end up becoming the next “band on the field.”

Colorado trailed 24-10 after allowing a 100-yard kickoff return and another long touchdown, but they found the end zone before the half ended to cut the deficit in half.
The Buffaloes stopped Baylor on fourth down midway through the third quarter to prevent another two-point deficit. After the teams traded punts, Sanders found Hunter on two long plays to get inside the 10-yard line. Two plays later, Welch scored the game's first points with a shot into the end zone to tie the game at 24-24.

Colorado's defense continued to surge forward, but Deion Sanders opted not to attempt a 52-yard field goal, leading to his son being sacked on fourth down and eight from the Baylor 35-yard line. The Bears went on the offensive with just over nine minutes left, reaching the end zone in eight plays before Sawyer Robertson's pass to Hal Pressley for a 24-yard score.
Sanders was sacked on Colorado's first two plays for a combined loss of 21 yards (he was sacked seven times in the second half), forcing a punt from the end zone, which gave Baylor good field position, but a 45-yard field goal attempt went wide right, sending the game into overtime for Colorado.
Sanders completed 25 of 41 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for a score, while defensive hero Hunter led the team with seven receptions for 130 yards and again played more than 100 snaps.

The game marked Colorado's first time playing against a Big 12 Conference team in 14 years, having spent the previous 13 seasons in the Pac-12 before returning to the Big 12 when the previous conference was dissolved.
Well, it's a good start to a new era.
