Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter should have been celebrating winning the Heisman Trophy, but instead he was forced to hit back at online trolls who criticized his fiancee.
Leanna Reaney faced scrutiny for how she appeared to behave during the Hunter event. But all she appeared to be doing was sitting on the couch while the soccer star held a meet-and-greet with fans.

According to the New York Post, Hunter softened the criticism on a Twitch livestream.
“It's not like you didn't have girls, so why are you guys talking about me?” he said. “Find someone else to talk to. … Tell me about your girl. Find a girl. Find a life. Stop worrying about what happened to me. I know what I got.ā
“My girlfriend has been with me for 5 years. You guys are just now starting to talk about me… You guys should do something else with your life. No clickbait pages, please. You better stop, Iām telling you.ā Guys, if you keep doing that, something bad is going to happen. You should stop. ā
Hunter explained that he and Renee were discussing plans for the rest of the night. She also said she got drunk and cried all night as the criticism trickled in.

“I don't want her to go to sleep sad. I can't help her, so it's very difficult.”
Days before winning the Heisman Trophy, he spoke passionately about Lenny on the Pivot Podcast.
“She is the closest person to me and has helped me in every way. Sometimes it's tough, but she's always there for me,” he said.
Hunter will likely be one of the first players taken in the 2025 draft. He probably needs to play one more bowl game before his college career is over.
