All is not well in “Jerry's World”.
The Dallas Cowboys are expected to be without quarterback Dak Prescott, who suffered a hamstring injury Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, resulting in the team's third straight loss.
It remains to be seen whether Prescott will be placed on injured reserve, as he will miss at least the next four games with “America's Team.” Either way, his backup, Cooper Rush, will likely start this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys, slumping at 3-5, never imagined it would be such a roller coaster midway through the season. But in an offseason that many deemed mediocre by owner Jerry Jones' standards (not counting running back Derrick Henry), the team finished in third place in the NFC East and currently outside of the playoff picture. This is not the situation in Dallas. In my heart.
Currently without their franchise quarterback, the Cowboys' future prospects don't look very promising.
The injury occurred while Prescott was scrambling for a 5-yard gain late in the third quarter. On the next play, he tried to make a throw, but it came up limp as the pass wobbled off target.
Cowboys lose to Falcons, third straight loss, Dak Prescott injured
“I felt it when I got up from my run,” Prescott told reporters Sunday, according to ESPN. “I didn't even feel like I was running. There was something in the tackle, maybe the tackle. Yeah, I don't know, but when I got up I actually felt something. I didn't think it was a big deal. “I didn’t feel that way.” Often times, we feel so many different things that we get tired. ”
Prescott was initially removed from the Rush game as a precaution, but test results Monday showed otherwise. ESPN reported that Prescott will seek a second opinion on his hamstring to confirm future recovery steps.
Meanwhile, star receiver CeeDee Lamb also suffered an injury while attempting to dive for a touchdown catch.
Lamb is suffering from an AC joint injury, but ESPN reports that he has soreness in his shoulder and that it is not a serious issue. It's possible Lamb will suit up for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Additionally, defensive end Micah Parsons could finally return to the team this week. He suffered an ankle sprain that has caused him to miss the last four games.
Ultimately, Prescott is a deal that Dallas decided to make this offseason, giving him a four-year contract extension worth $240 million, making him the league's highest-paid quarterback at $60 million per year. Ta.
But this isn't how he wanted to start his new chapter in Dallas, having thrown 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions in eight games thus far.
Prescott just completed his third Pro Bowl season, leading the league with 36 touchdown passes and 410 completions, while throwing for 4,516 yards and just nine interceptions in 17 games.
However, the Cowboys, who own the No. 2 seed in the NFC, lost to the Green Bay Packers in the wild card round and were quickly eliminated from the playoffs. The futures of Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy, whose contracts are set to expire after the 2024 season, were in question after that game.
