It's time to deal with an inconvenient truth. UNRWA-Gaza has greatly betrayed the people of Gaza. It has failed in its original mission of educating Gazans and supporting rather than hindering peace. And as a United Nations organization, terrorism became rampant.
Rather than focusing on education, health care, and social welfare, UNRWA-Gaza provides relief and assistance to the internationally recognized terrorist organization Hamas, while its diplomatic proxy for the Palestinian Authority We work in collaboration with the government. . Together they perpetuate virulent hatred against Jews, glorify violence, and prolong conflict.
UNRWA was established in 1949, one year after the founding of Israel. While refugees around the world rely on temporary aid from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Palestinians have their own agency. But this unique institution was created not to solve problems, but to maintain them. UNRWA has entrenched the status of Palestinians as permanent refugees, ensuring that they remain trapped in hatred and nativism for generations.
Israel's UN ambassador accuses world body of UNRWA being taken over by Hamas terrorists in Gaza
Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Danny Danon speaks during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council at United Nations Headquarters in New York, May 15, 2018. – The United States' ambassador to the United Nations said Tuesday at an emergency Security Council meeting on violence in Gaza that ally Israel acted with restraint in the face of Hamas's provocations. Nikki Haley told the Security Council that “no country in this chamber would act with as much restraint as Israel.” “In fact, the record of some of the countries here today suggests that restraints will be much looser,” she said. Palestinian hatred of Israelis and Jews did not arise in a vacuum. The systematic indoctrination of hatred begins in the classroom. The following is a passage from a fifth-grade textbook taught in schools with funding and support from the United Nations and its member states: “Dalal Mughrabi, whose name is written in glory, is known for his unparalleled bravery.'' Her operations brought pride to the Palestinian cause and reminded us that “the blood of martyrs paves the way to liberation.” Following in her footsteps, we teach our children to aspire to heroism and martyrdom. Because these are the hallmarks of a nation. strength. ”

The “operation” cited here was not a noble cause, and Mr. Mughrabi was no hero. She was a Palestinian terrorist with innocent blood on her hands who planned the Coast Road Massacre in Tel Aviv in 1978, killing 38 innocent Israeli civilians, including 13 children.
UNRWA has failed to teach peace. Nor could peace be advanced. Its schools and facilities have been turned into weapons depots and launch pads for rocket attacks on Israeli civilian centers.

Over the past year, Israel has exposed hundreds of UNRWA personnel as Hamas operatives, and vice versa. But the United Nations remains silent on this revolving door of terror.
To make matters worse, there is blood in UNRWA-Gaza, and the world turns a blind eye because that blood is Jewish blood. Last month, I had the honor and honor of accompanying Ayelet Samerano to the United Nations and stood alongside her as she spoke about her beloved son, Jonathan.
On October 7, one of the darkest days in Israel's history, Jonathan was kidnapped from southern Israel to Gaza by UNRWA officials who were cashing checks signed and stamped by the UN and UNRWA chiefs.

To date, there has been no apology, explanation, or condemnation from the United Nations as to why its staff are participating in brutal attacks instead of fulfilling their mission to provide humanitarian aid to Gazans.
Why does the United Nations and its member states continue to support such heinous acts of terrorism? Where is the outrage at UNRWA and its staff, which violates the fundamental principles of UN peacekeeping?
Despite claims by some international organizations, UNRWA is not the largest or most important humanitarian agency operating in Gaza. Gazans do not need UNRWA to thrive. Other agencies that are not infiltrated by Hamas and are purely focused on improving the lives of Gazans have had more success in improving conditions in Gaza. For the past three months, the World Food Program has been responsible for 50% of humanitarian assistance in Gaza, while UNRWA has accounted for less than 13%.

It's time for a shift. The time has come for the United Nations to disband UNRWA, stop being a collaborator in conflict, and start becoming a partner in peace.
If the international community truly cared about the people of Gaza, it would support efforts to establish an alternative agency to replace UNRWA's operations in Gaza.
