It feels like the enthusiastic Trump administration is in power for two years rather than two months, and even more so, Dithering and Shambolic's Biden administrations seem to be ancient history. But the new research from the Media Research Center detailing Biden's extensive censorship of Americans is a calm reminder of how close we have been to losing our most fundamental freedoms recently.
The shocking report reveals more than 57 initiatives by the Biden White House to censor speeches from American citizens. These initiatives spanned an incredible 93 independent government agencies.
Jonathan Turley: Getting the US out of the censorship business
The most terrible violation of our freedom of speech took the form of direct action, such as when White House adviser Andy Slavit pressured Amazon to ban books criticizing the government's response to Covid, or when the White House and the National Institute of Allergy threatened the vice president's content when they threatened meta.

There were more subtle efforts to include policy and rule creation. The State Department under Secretary Antony Blinken has signed a contract pledging greater censorship online with more than 20 countries, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has sought to establish a censorship operation called the “Disinformation Governance Committee.”
President Trump can sign executive orders until we run out of paper and sharps, but in the long run, only Congressional actions can ensure freedom of speech not only for now but for generations to come.
What's worse, when the Biden administration had the opportunity to silence Americans they couldn't do at home, they offered partnerships or grants to nonprofits who were happy with private, non-free speech police.
The MRC report details how taxes were taxed on distant left and right organizations like the Poynter Institute and NewsGuard.
The good news is that many of these programs have already been cut in just two months, and more importantly, we are a fierce champion of free speech and that there is a president in Donald Trump who doesn't allow government censorship on his watch.
In fact, on January 20th, when he took office, Trump signed an executive order that read the section “American policy, and (a) ensuring the right of American citizens to engage in constitutionally protected speeches.”
The order will specifically address many of the concerns raised by the MRC report. And while some architects of the censorship regime still remain in the federal government, the Trump administration has eliminated many of the low achievements of its warfare talk policy.
Well, for the bad news. If Democrats return to the White House four years later, they can turn the dial back to the right, but this time it will probably be set to 11.

One great solution is R-Wyo. It is provided in a bill by Rep. Harriet Hargeman. This allows American citizens to sue federal employees who conspire with external entities to censor speeches.
“I have repeatedly said that we cannot do anything on behalf of the government that is prohibited from doing directly,” Hagemann said. “This happened when the Biden administration pressured social media companies to curb the freedom of speech among American citizens.”
Listen and listen.

The fact in question is that President Trump can sign executive orders until he runs out of paper and Sharp, but in the long run, only Congressional actions can ensure freedom of speech not only for now but for generations to come.
Trump and Republican Congressional elections are a reprieve of Democrats' attacks on freedom of speech that they have been carrying out for years. However, if Republicans fail to write clearly in the new protections for speech over the next two years, the grace is no longer in vain.

Forget what the Biden administration has happened so far, everyone has a natural desire. It's a bit like Covid like that. But in both cases it is important that we do not forget, and to correct the loopholes and uncertainties that allow both to narrow down their freedom of speech.
There's no doubt that people are not giving up, both inside and outside the Biden administration, who want censorship you haven't given up. They are simply reorganizing another claim. Now is the time for the Champion of Speech to build defenses that can withstand that inevitable charging.
