Without a doubt, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has not run for mayor of New York City by digging and digging out the Gracie Mansion. As many of us suspect he will, Democrats are once again dedicated to being leaders of the Nationalist Party.
The Democrats are desperate for a new leader. Already emerging as a candidate for 2028, Cuomo, 67, has a resume, name recognition and political chops.
Former government. Andrew Cuomo will begin bidding for NYC mayor
Looking back, it seemed strange that Cuomo resigned in the summer of 2021 amid allegations of sexual harassment. In all, 11 women accused him of harassment ranging from mischievous remarks to unwanted kisses and emotion, according to a report released by the New York Attorney General. Cuomo denied the allegation.
The crisis seemed survivable, but looking back, the decision looked like a strategic hideaway, a chance for Cuomo to hold things down a bit while building his time, waiting for another chance of the country's glory he had between Covids.

Well, we're here, but not four years later, and the whole Democrat fell apart like a planned demolition of the local mall. What's even worse, it seems that no one is leading the party. Cuomo would not have dreamed of a better vacuum.
After all, he has been widely absent for the past three years as he oversaw the truth about former President Biden's mental state, overseeing shocking price increases, opening borders, alienating Americans in identity politics, and predominantly sided foreign policy that its key principles seem to “make everything worse.”
Cuomo may have a baggage, but unlike most Democrats, he has no foul smell from his Biden days. He does not need to apologise or return for his party's stupid defense over the past four years. He will be able to reopen the place he had as President Donald Trump's main foil during the duel co-bid press conference in 2020.
Cuomo also doesn't have a particularly strong connection to the Barack Obama/Nancy Pelosi political machinery, which many Democrats want to throw at the extraordinary things of history.
Well, I know what everyone says, and I want to be as transparent as possible to agree with it: what about his community policy that many people say killed the elderly? Yes, under his administration, New York sent infected elderly people back to nursing homes, where the virus spread like a wildfire. And, despite a federal judge dismissed the case against him last year, in normal times it would be a career endors.
But these are not normal. The last time the Democrats faced the political wilderness, this desolate barren dropped three consecutive general elections in 1992 in a rather embarrassing way.
If Cuomo becomes Mayor of Gotham next year, he and Trump can be bet on the 401(k) that he and Trump will always openly square until mid-2026.
The party turned to a new, more moderate choice, governor Bill Clinton, who was not afraid to challenge leftist orthodox.
It could happen again.
If Cuomo becomes Mayor of Gotham next year, he and Trump can be bet on the 401(k) that he and Trump will always openly square until mid-2026. Such a 2020 reprise would give Cuomo a wide open lane to take charge of Jefferson and Jackson's parties.
One difference between Cuomo and Clinton is that the latter was a new character in the scene. Cuomo is already well known, but it can help him. Many Democrats I talk to on the road don't want anything new enough to want the Democrats they remember before they leave fundamentally.

Not a radical left, Cuomo could become a physical embodiment of his father, former New York governor Mario Cuomo.
Cuomo as the Democrat's savior may look like a stretch, but who do you see when you look at the bench? Gavin Newsom, who is as legendary as his hair? Has Kamala Harris looked more inconsistent since her crushed defeat?
Isn't it strange that Cuomo is screaming, “Hey Coach, why don't you let me in?”
We'll soon start seeing Cuomo's name in the 2028 national poll, but that doesn't matter if he doesn't get the mayor's office first. Field grew when incumbent Eric Adams was running and he was the subject of federal bribery charges.

So, in a very realistic way, voters in New York City will not only determine the future of their city, but also the future of the Democrats, and therefore the nation.
Republicans should hope that New Yorkers will hold Cuomo accountable for his mistakes and not let him whitewash his past at the mayor's victory party later this year. If that happens, Cuomo could be limited as it could be the most frightening weapon in the Democratic arsenal.
