On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris and her media acolytes displayed what I would call rare shamelessness, using the tragedy of a school shooting to lie about J.D. Vance in the most repulsive way imaginable.
Commenting on the horrific school shooting in Georgia this week that left four people dead, the Republican vice presidential nominee said, “I hate that this is real, but if you're a psychopath and you want to be in the headlines, you know schools are an easy target. And we've got to beef up security so that if a psychopath wants to come in through the front door and kill our kids, he can't do it.”
This extremely sensible and sensitive position somehow led the Associated Press to publish an X-post with the headline “JD Vance says school shootings are 'everyday' and urges tighter security.”
The apparent purpose of the purple prose was to give the impression that Vance was downplaying the importance of school shootings, when in fact he was addressing them head on. The AP later deleted the story and admitted to lying, but not before 2.5 million people saw it.
Vance Spock slams AP for 'blatantly lying' and taking school shooting statements out of context: 'We've completely lost all credibility'
Not to be outdone, the HarrisX account posted a video clip with the headline, “In response to deadly Georgia shootings, JD Vance says school shootings are just a 'fact of life' and attacks commonsense gun safety reforms.”
A subsequent statement added that Vance had said of the shooting, “We have to get over it,” but this is just a bizarre fabrication.
What makes this form of lie so dishonest and insidious is that the video disproving the claim is right there, and one only has to click on it to see that Vance in no way downplays or minimizes school shootings.
But that doesn't matter, because the Harris team knows that the majority of X's users will never click on the video, never see the truth, or, worse, think that the video's existence is evidence in itself — just as most of the 2.5 million people who saw the AP's original headline will never see the correction.
From the moment Kamala's campaign began, the liberal media has been complicit in lie after lie. Suddenly, it was said she was not the Minister for Borders and that she had won the nomination through a grassroots, bottom-up campaign – something Governor Gavin Neswom openly ridiculed in a recent podcast.
They are just laughing at the big lie that the Democrats have forced on the American people.
J.D. Vance exposes “lie” at the “heart” of Kamala Harris' campaign: policies “caused food prices to soar”
Oh, and by the way, Kamala Harris, once the most liberal member of the Senate, ran as more left than Joe Biden in 2019, but she's not actually a liberal. That was a fabrication created by Donald Trump.
The general consensus today is that the Harris campaign is stumbling, as the numbers attest, and one thing they should consider doing to turn things around is to stop so blatantly and routinely lying to the American people.

Voters don't buy these fantastical twirls at all. On fracking, 42% of those surveyed say Harris still wants to ban it, compared with 26% who disagree, according to an RMG Resources poll released Friday. Only 41% think Harris wants Medicare for All, and only 23% think she's taking a new position. And 55% think Harris opposes the border wall, which, honestly, is probably true.
The cost of Kamala and the media's constant lies goes far beyond the outcome of a single election — in fact, it is destroying the very fabric of America's unique political fabric.
At Harris' request, there will likely only be one debate between Donald Trump and Harris this term. Why? Because there is a risk that Harris' lies will be exposed during the debate.
Harris has refused to give press conferences or interviews. Why? Again, her lies are so obvious they could be exposed on a quick MSNBC segment.

Moreover, this behavior and lack of accountability from leaders of the Democratic Party and its media arm contributes to the very cynicism that is so evident in our society, where trust in all institutions is at an all-time low.
Mr. Vice President, we all know what you're talking about and we all want to hear what you have to say, but can you please start telling us the truth?
