Congressional Democrats immediately expressed their anger at Vice President JD Vance's explosive White House on Friday with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance Vowrein Voldi Zelensky, who asked him to leave.
“Trump and Vance are doing Putin's dirty work. Senate Democrats will never stop them from fighting for freedom and democracy,” Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, told X in response to Vance, who told Zelenskyy that he was rude to him and that Trump was “gambling with World War II.”

Senate minority Dick Durbin, D-IL, argued that the Ukrainian president was owing an apology, saying “Ukrainians fought teeth and nakedness on the frontline of democracy against Russian invasion.”

Zelensky joined Trump and Vance in an oval office to discuss the path of peace between Russia and Ukraine. The path of peace between Russia and Ukraine remained in war after invading its neighbors in 2022. However, the debate quickly fell into confusion as the Ukrainian president challenged his US counterpart in front of the media.
“I think it would be rude to come to the oval office with respect and seek to litigate this in front of the American media,” Vance responded to Zelenkey after pushing back the notion of engaging in diplomacy to end the war.
The Ukrainian president left the White House at Trump's request, without signing an agreement that would allow the United States to access Ukraine's important minerals in exchange for the financial aid it gave Ukraine as part of the US negotiated peace agreement.
