Dallas Wings player Dehony Carrington spoke to the referee in a social media post Friday to call for security.
Security guards approached as Carrington began to be more and more demonstrated during a fierce argument with officials during the Wings' defeat to the Chicago Sky on Thursday.
One security guard even reached between Carrington and the officials. The official left Carrington and pulled the guard with his shirt in front of Carrington for protection.

Carrington responded to the incident in X's Friday post, suggesting that the security summon was a “minor attack.”
“Security… I'm crazy when I'm literally having a civil conversation. Be careful, he called it 'security' there…” Carrington wrote about the clip of the incident with the spelled “microaggressing” hashtag.
Fox News Digital reached out to the WNBA and Sky for comment.

Former Dallas Wings player Cheryl Swops also spoke to the judge who summoned security in his X post.
“If this guy (if he was scared of things I don't know and needed security, he should never be able to refer to it again! This is not realistic!” Swoops wrote.
Carrington became a controversial figure in the WNBA last season.
As a member of the 2024 Connecticut Sun, Carrington gave Indiana Fever Rookie Kate Linklark black eyes after plunging her into the game in the first round of the playoffs in September. Carrington laughed with his teammate Marina Mabury after the incident.

Carrington says she intentionally doesn't thrust Clark into her eyes and doesn't laugh about the incident. However, she appeared to reveal the controversy surrounding Clark's dark eyes in an October live Instagram video.
In the video, Narissa Smith, who plays for Indiana Fever with Carrington and her girlfriend Clark, was in their kitchen when Smith plunged Carrington into her eyes.

“Yeah, you plunged into my eyes,” Carrington said. Smith apologized, and the two laughed.
“Did you do it intentionally?” Carrington asked.
During the “unparalleled” league season in January, Carrington wore a shirt that said “F–Donald Trump Tour” as he stepped into Wayfair Arena in Miami, Florida.
Then, at another post-game press conference that month, Carrington declared it was time for WNBA players to “take action” in response to President Donald Trump's policies.

“We're making sure some policies are already in place. Of course, that's when we take action, just as the WNBA is at the forefront of many of these moves,” Carrington said.
“Women, it definitely needs to happen as women's rights are taken away. Right now, LGBTQ rights are taken away. They haven't happened yet, but they are definitely working on it.”
