Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts revealed what he really wanted to say to a Yankees fan who was trying to pry the ball from his glove during Game 4 of the World Series.
During the Peacock special “Back That Year Up 2024,” Betts said after host Kevin Hart asked him what message he had for his fans: “I'll really say, 'Hmm, you guys.'” .
“Try to get the ball, cool. But you're trying to grab my-” Betts continued.

“It was just at that moment that I thought I was going to throw the ball up, and then I realized, 'Mook, you're not going to do it — you're not going to do it, go back to the right. “field!''
In the first inning of Game 4, which the Yankees won 11-4, Gleyber Torres hit a foul ball down the right field line. The ball went into the stands and Betts made a great catch along the wall.
However, as Betts attempted to come off the wall, two fans pried the ball from Betts' glove and attempted to rip the glove from Betts' hands.

The referee immediately called for fan interference, ruled out Torres, and security rushed to the area.
The fans turned out to be Austin Capobianco and Jon Peter. Both fans were season ticket holders and were preparing for a moment similar to what happened with Betts.
“We always joke about the ball in our area,” Capobianco told ESPN. “I'm not going to go out of my way to attack. If it's within our area, I'm going to 'D' up.”

“I know when I'm wrong, but in that moment I'm like, 'Guys, let's get out of here,' and I'm patrolling around the wall. They know that, too. I'm doing it.”
As a result of the incident, fans were prohibited from attending Game 5 of the World Series.
The Dodgers won the World Series 4-1.
