The Miami Dolphins have battled their fair share of ups and downs this season.
At one point, the Dolphins had a record of 2 wins and 6 losses. However, QB Tua Tagovailoa's return from injury has stabilized the team's offense and helped Miami win its past two games.
During the offseason, former Miami Hurricanes star Calais Campbell decided to return to South Florida and signed with the Dolphins.
The six-time Pro Bowler is in the midst of his 17th NFL season, and the experienced veteran defensive tackle has made a big impact on the 2024 Dolphins — just ask his teammates. Tight end Jonnu Smith recently praised the 38-year-old Campbell for continuing to show his ability to be a key contributor.

“In terms of his age and the performance he brings to the game, he's like the LeBron James of the NFL right now, still playing at a high level. I mean, this guy can be 1,000 years old and still play at 21 years old. That's how he plays.”
Campbell is one of a small list of NFL athletes who played the defensive lineman position who were able to continue playing, let alone make an impact, well into their late 30s. .

Smith, who was teammates with Campbell in Atlanta with the Falcons last season, called Campbell “the best leader ever.”
If Campbell can record two more sacks in the Dolphins' remaining seven games, he will pass former Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald for 40th all-time.
