Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill played Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams with what appears to be torn ligaments in his wrist.
The eight-time Pro Bowler made mid-game decisions for Monday Night Football and recently missed some practice time. Hill told ESPN that he has been suffering from wrist problems since training camp, but claims the injury was exacerbated by an incident in September when he was detained by police near the Dolphins' home stadium. .
Hill added that he previously underwent an MRI scan that confirmed a torn ligament in his wrist.

Hill added that by this week he had decided to keep quiet about the injury. But “that arrest confused me,” he told ESPN. “I won't let you stop (that intention).”
Miami police conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 8, hours before the Dolphins' season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hill was on his way to the game at the time.

Body camera footage showed a police officer pulling up next to Hill's car and telling him he was speeding. Hill asks how fast he was going and is told to pull over.
The officer knocked on the window, but Hill told the officer not to knock on the window like that when handing over his driver's license. Hill then tells the officer to give him the ticket and rolls back the window. The officer asked Hill to keep his window closed.
“Please roll down your windows or we'll get you out of your car. In fact, get out of your car,” the officer said.
A second officer threatened to break the window.
“We're not playing this game,” another officer says, and body cameras show one of the officers opening the door, reaching into Hill's car and coming to the aid of a third officer. The footage shows Hill being pulled from the borrowed car.
“Hey, Drew, you're under arrest, Drew,” Hill can be heard saying, apparently speaking to deputy Drew Rosenhaus.
One police officer said: “When we tell you to do something, you do it. You do it when we say it, not what you want.'' You're a little confused. ” he said.

Hill hasn't put up the eye-popping stats this season that fans have become accustomed to in recent years. At least some of the decline in production can be attributed to the quarterback issues the Dolphins have experienced this season. Regular starter Tua Tagovailoa has missed this year due to a concussion.

Hill has finished each of the past four seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards, hitting a career high with 1,799 receiving yards in 2023.
