The Philadelphia Eagles will have their star quarterback on the field on Sunday in Arlington, Texas, for the NFC East's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Jalen Hurts is safe and expected to suit up in Week 10, according to the latest injury report, but the two-time Pro Bowler's status was briefly in doubt Sunday. On Friday, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni apparently let reporters know that Hurts missed practice on Wednesday because he was dealing with an unspecified ankle issue.
Sirianni quickly sought to clarify, stating that Hurts was given a “rest day” and was not injured. When asked why Hurts, 26, was on the rest list when he hadn't been before, the Eagles coach said, “Yeah, he was dealing with it — it's just an injury. It was on the report, ankle treatment. And you know, he was dealing with that.” , I try to be careful about everything. ”

One member of the team's media relations staff later pointed out that the listing was classified as “rest” before another reporter asked if Hurts was dealing with an ankle injury. Sirianni said, “No, please rest.”

Hurts was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, but was ultimately given an uninjured rest designation. Hearts were listed as full participants on Thursday and Friday.

Hurts took a little extra time to get off the turf after being sacked after a scramble in the Eagles' Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. When he returned to the sideline, he did not enter the blue medical tent or be ejected from the game.
In the portion of practice shown to the press on Wednesday, Hurts was not seen participating in individual drills with fellow quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee.

Hurts' top wide receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith will also be available this week. Brown has a knee injury and Smith has a hamstring issue.
Meanwhile, there's no question the Cowboys' quarterback room is dealing with injury issues. Dak Prescott will miss Sunday's game against the Eagles after injuring his hamstring in last week's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

On Friday, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed the team's intention to place Prescott on injured reserve.
“I think it's probably not possible for him to come back within the four-week window, so we're going to put him there and use that roster spot for the next four weeks and go from there.” Jones said. He told Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan. “Obviously it's a tough, tough situation to lose him for that period of time, but we're going to do what's in Dak's best interests and it's anyone's guess at this point whether it's going to be four weeks or six weeks. I don't think we know.'' Week by week, season by season, we'll have to continue to monitor it and see where it goes. ”
Cowboys backup QB Cooper Rush will assume starting duties Sunday.
