The date for the Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House with President Donald Trump has been officially set to celebrate last month's Super Bowl victory.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced Tuesday that the team will visit April 28th.
Leavitt also took a jab in a report on whether invitations will be sent after the incident in 2018.
As the 45th US president at the time, Trump revoked his invitation to the Eagles after the Super Bowl won over the Patriots after some players said they would not be present.

This time, Trump admitted that he wanted to take the Eagles to the country's capital to celebrate. That's exactly what happens.
“I know there was a lot of fake news about invitations that have not been sent or sent. I want to correct the record. I sent the invitation. They were enthusiastically accepted and will be displayed here on April 28th.”
The Eagles were “eagerly accepted,” officials say, after the Super Bowl victory, who invited President Trump to invite the White House
Trump attended the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th and saw the Eagles dominate the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22. He told the Eagles last month he wanted them to visit the White House.
“I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure it will,” Trump said of sending the invitation. “I thought it was a great performance for them. Absolutely, they'll be extended the invitation. We'll do it soon. We'll do it today. They deserve to be here and we want to see them.”

Eagles captain Lane Johnson said the White House visit would be a “team decision” after winning the Super Bowl.
Having spent all 12 NFL seasons in the franchise, Johnson was on the team in 2018 when he won the organization's first Vince Lombardi Trophy and defeated the New England Patriots.
But the controversy continued in the year when Trump revoked his invitation to the Eagles after some players said they would not visit the White House due to President 45's criticism of those who kneeled and raised their fists to protest racial injustice and police brutality during the racial anthem.
Trump issued a statement at the time about cancelling his invitation, saying “it's more valuable to the 1,000 fans planning on attending the event.”

“They oppose their president because they honour the great men and women of our military and the people of our nation, as they proudly claim that they have their national anthem, their hands in their hearts,” Trump's statement seven years ago said.
