A federal judge permanently blocked President Donald Trump's executive order targeting law firm Wilmer Hale on Tuesday.
Trump's order sought to limit the impact of Wilmartler's Pickering Hale and Dore LLP by urging federal agencies to suspend security clearances for company employees and cancel contracts with the organization. “For the reasons given below, I have concluded that the order must be discarded as unconstitutional,” Leon wrote. “It's true, otherwise controlling is dishonest to the father's judgment and vision of the founding father!”
Leon argued that Trump's order served as a threat to law firms around the country.
