Johnny Damon, two-time World Series champion among other teams with the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, said he is indifferent to Flack, who may receive with the support of President Donald Trump.
Damon appeared on Outkick's “The Ricky Cobb Show” and talked about when he first formed a relationship with Trump before running for president. Cobb asked Damon if he had heard harsh stories from fans about his support for the business mogul.

“I'm not too worried about it because I know what's right,” Damon said. “We know that criminal illegal immigrants should not be in our country, and that is what it should be a fair arena out there, and that's why tariffs are coming.
“I told my friend years ago, “Is Ukraine going to pay us back? We're giving them a lot of money.” Well, as we see on the world stage now, President Trump is about to reconcile with Russia and Ukraine…and continues to do a lot of things no one wants. ”
The former outfielder said he was trying to do what he believed was right for his child.

“So I might catch sadness, but I'm not too worried about it,” he said. “I'm a 51-year-old man with eight children. I'm worried about my child's future. I want to make sure they live in a safe world.
“I know there are a lot of friends on the right, a lot of friends on the left, and a lot of them agree with Trump's policies. They don't like how strong he is and how our country needed something like that.”
Damon approved Trump's first presidential election in 2016. In 2020, Trump appointed Damon to serve on the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.
