LA CROSSE, Wis. – Mark Cuban took aim at former President Trump and calmed the audience at Vice President Kamala Harris' rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The billionaire businessman claimed the former president wants him to “have a bad Christmas” because his proposed tariffs would increase the price of some Christmas presents.

Now, Cuba has gone on the offensive on behalf of the vice president, attacking President Trump over his tariff proposals.
“This man has little understanding of tariffs. He thinks China will pay for the tariffs. This is the man who thought Mexico will pay for the wall,” Cuban argued.
Cuban made two appearances Thursday with Harris in the battleground state of Wisconsin, in a business school class at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and at a rally in La Crosse, making key appearances likely to determine the outcome of the match. A prominent figure in both the business and sports worlds, Cuban's efforts could help Harris step up her efforts to appeal to young male voters in her close race against Trump.

Mr. Cuban's campaign appearance on Thursday comes as Mr. Trump's most famous billionaire backer, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, is perhaps the most important of the seven battleground states. It took place while he was campaigning on behalf of the former president in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Musk spoke at a town hall in suburban Philadelphia, the second in a series of events for Mr. Trump to win Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes.

Musk isn't just campaigning on Trump's behalf.
The world's estimated richest man has donated about $75 million to super PACs supporting Mr. Trump, according to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission.
