A clearer picture is emerging of who will serve in the 47th US president's Cabinet, with President-elect Trump rounding out more Cabinet nominees on Friday night.
All of President Trump's Cabinet picks must be approved by the Senate, a process expected to begin in January. The confirmation process will be easier if Republicans gain 53 seats, after flipping four seats to Republican candidates in this election.
The president-elect has selected a number of key Trump supporters to support his campaign.

Scott Bessent – Secretary of the Treasury
Scott Bessent, founder of Key Square Group, has been selected for the coveted post of Treasury Secretary. Bessent was a key economic policy advisor and fundraiser for the Trump campaign.

He has long supported economic policies such as tax cuts, spending controls and deregulation that have been central to the Republican Party's platform, and he has supported Trump's use of tariffs in trade negotiations.

On Friday, President Trump nominated Russ Vought to lead the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Vought served as OMB director during President Trump's first term. He also served as OMB Deputy Director and Acting Director.

President Trump nominated Scott Turner to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Turner is director of the Center for Educational Opportunity, a former professional football player, and previously served as executive director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council (WHORC).

Chavez Delemer was first elected to Congress in 2022, but lost re-election to Democrat Janelle Bynum earlier this month. Her candidacy was supported by the Teamsters union.

President-elect Trump announced his selection of former Congressman Dr. Dave Weldon (R-Fla.) to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Dr. Marty McCurry – FDA Commissioner
President Trump on Friday nominated Dr. Marty McCurry, a pancreatic surgeon at Johns Hopkins University, to head the Food and Drug Administration.
McCurry is the director of islet transplant surgery at Johns Hopkins University and a former Fox News medical contributor, according to the university's website.
“The FDA has lost the trust of the American public and has lost sight of its original purpose as a regulatory agency. The FDA needs to get back on track and refocused. And we need the highly respected Dr. Marty McCurry,” President Trump said on Truth Social.

Janet Neshewat – Surgeon General
President Trump also nominated Dr. Janet Nesheiwat to be Surgeon General, saying she would be “a passionate advocate and strong communicator of preventive medicine and public health.”
“I am proud to announce that Dr. Janet Nesheiwat will become the nation’s physician as the United States Surgeon General. He is a fully certified physician,” he said. .

Sebastian Gorka – Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director of Counterterrorism
President Trump announced Friday that former White House adviser Sebastian Gorka will serve in the next administration. Mr. Gorka serves as deputy assistant to the president and senior director of counterterrorism.
Gorka is a former top aide to Trump, having previously served as deputy chief of staff during Trump's first term. He is also a former FOX News contributor.
“Since 2015, Dr. Gorka has been a tireless champion of the America First Agenda and the MAGA movement, and previously served as the President's strategist in the first Trump administration,” President Trump said in a statement.
Alex Wong – Assistant to the President and Chief of National Security Advisor
Like Gorka, Alex Wong also served in President Trump's administration during his first term.
