Distant progressive billionaire Alex Soros has been criticized online for his statements denounced the murder of two Israeli embassy staff despite funding anti-Israel groups through his Open Social Foundation (OSF).
Soros, son and heir to George Soros' fortune and charitable empire, condemned the murder of the X-Post, saying, “The murders of Sarah Milgrim and Jaron Lisinsky at the Capital Jewish Museum are in their most basic form of evil.”
Two Israeli Embassy staff members Milgrim and Lisinsky were killed outside an event at the Washington, D.C. Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday night.
DC police have identified 31-year-old Elias Rodriguez and the suspect who were taken into custody after the shooting attack. He allegedly approached a group of four, including two victims, and saw them roaming outside the museum before firing fire. Rodriguez was later reportedly entered the museum, where he was detained by security. He is said to have cried out, “Free, free Palestine!” In detention.

Soros condemned the murder, but his statement was flooded with replies calling for his funding to radical anti-Israel groups that promote anti-Semitic sentiment.
“Alex, you and your father will create this issue through the ruthless, international silence of critics and open up a policy of opening borders,” said X-user, named Joseph Janecca. “Their blood is in your hands as much as their murderers. We will never forget.”
Another user, Carl White, commented, “You're behind hatred, so if you don't want to hear about the issue from you, sorry.”
Another Eitan Fishberger argued that Soros “funds the revolutionary Marxist group that the archers belonged to.”

Details of Rodriguez's affiliation are currently unknown as OSF Chairman, but Soros has helped fund several left-wing groups who denounced Israel as genocide and called for an end to the Jewish state.
In 2023, Amichii Chikli, Minister of Israel's Diaspora Issues and Social Equality, told Fox News Digital that Soros is a mirror image of Father George's anti-Israel agenda.
When asked if Soros would continue to fund the anti-Israel entity that would defeat the Jewish state, Chikli said, “The son looks like a replica of his father. He does not expect his son to become a major Zionist.”
Chikuri added that the OSF “attacks Israel, attacks Israel as an apartheid state, attacks it on delegating and demonizing Israel.”

He also said that OSF is pro-Israel, but is funding “J Street,” which has faced criticism for its support of Iran's regime and its alleged support for Palestinians.
Chikuri also said the Soros Foundation “given money to Israel's colonial state and the small, radical Palestinian organisations that it describes as a moral crime.” He cited the NGO Adara, which means “justice” in Arabic, and in “Israel's open vision for Arab society,” he cited the NGO Adara as an organization that “denies Israel's vision as a Jewish nation.”

Elder Soros has also faced intense criticism of the United Nations by Israeli ambassadors after investing more than $15 million into a network of non-governmental organisations allegedly supporting Hamas.
