A tough night for the New York Giants was made worse by star rookie Malik Nabors being injured late in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Nabors, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, fell heavily to the sideline while trying to connect with Daniel Jones on fourth-and-six with just over three minutes left in the game.

Nabors managed to get both feet on the ground, but he was tackled by Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs and the ball spilled for an incompletion.
Nabors remained motionless on the ground and was eventually helped off the field. He was later diagnosed with a concussion.
“I thought he did a great job of keeping his feet in bounds,” head coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game. “It was a perfect throw and the ball swung a little bit on the outside as he went to the ground. But he scrambled and put the ball exactly where he was supposed to put it. It was close. It was a matter of inches. It was.”

Nabors had 12 catches for 115 yards, marking his second straight game with 10 or more catches for at least 100 yards. According to ESPN, he is the first player in NFL history to have at least 25 receptions and three touchdowns in his first four games.

“He had another great game and did a great job in front of us. We will continue to have faith in him,” Jones said of Nabors.
The Giants are on a mini-bye until their next game against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 6, so Nabors will have more time to clear concussion protocol.
