Vice President Kamala Harris appears to agree with anti-Israel protesters who accused the Jewish state of genocide during the campaign stoppage.
Video of the interaction during Thursday's campaign stop at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee showed the moment Harris was interrupted by a protester wearing a keffiyeh.
“I know what you're saying. I want a ceasefire. I want the hostage trade to end. I want the war to end,” Harris said.
“But what about genocide? But what about genocide?” shouted a protester who cut in.

“I respect your right to speak, but I'm speaking now,” Harris replied, to loud cheers.
The man was removed from the crowd and continued to scream.
“What about billions of dollars to Israel?” he cried. “19,000 children died, so why not call it genocide?”

After the demonstrators were escorted out, Harris addressed the crowd and appeared to lend credence to her claims about Israel.

“Listen, what he's saying is true,” she said. “That's not the subject I came to discuss today, but it's true and I respect his voice.”
The vice president has never previously accused Israel of genocide during the Israel-Hamas war. FOX News Digital has reached out to the Harris campaign for comment.
Harris appears to agree with students who have previously accused the Jewish state of genocide.
In 2021, Harris nods to a student's condemnation of Israel's ethnic genocide, responding by saying the student's “truth should not be hidden.”
The student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, had questioned the funding the United States provided to Israel and Saudi Arabia and accused the Jewish state of genocide.

Ms Harris said she was “pleased” that the student had raised such concerns and said her voice should be heard in a democracy.
“Again, this is about the fact that your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth must be heard, not suppressed, right? It's one of the things we're fighting against, right? '' Harris said.
