Vice President Harris' debt-ridden presidential campaign spent $2.6 million on commercial flights in the final weeks of the election season, documents show.
The release of the findings comes as the debt-laden campaign, which spent $1 billion on its campaign, is under scrutiny for financial decisions it made before losing the Nov. 5 election to President-elect Trump. It was held in The campaign is believed to be $20 million in debt.
The eyebrow-raising spending was detailed in a Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing obtained by Fox News Digital. According to FEC filings, the Harris campaign spent $2,626,110 on commercial flights in October alone.
The costs ranged from $3,500 to $940,000 for each payment, with $2.2 million going to a company called Private Jet Services Group and $430,000 going to charter flight broker Advanced Aviation Team.

Campaign staff spent $3.1 million on commercial flights in September, bringing total air travel expenses since July to more than $10 million.
The spending is just one of several financial decisions the campaign has come under intense scrutiny. For example, Harris' team paid Oprah Winfrey's production company $1 million after she spoke at an Oct. 15 rally.
Harris staffers also donated $4 million to Village Marketing Agency, a company that connects clients with social media influencers. Additionally, the campaign spent at least $15 million on “event production,” according to FEC records.

The campaign's use of private jets has been criticized in recent weeks for both financial and environmental reasons. Private jets emit more greenhouse gases per passenger than airliners, and Harris has previously said climate change is an “existential threat.”
“There is no question that we need to be practical. But being practical also means recognizing that climate change is an existential threat to us as humans.” Harris told CNN in 2019. And it is well within our power as humans to change our behavior in ways that reduce its impact. ”
