Vice President Kamala Harris doubled down on her comparison of former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, saying during a CNN town hall that she believes Trump is a “fascist.”
Asked if she believed President Trump was a “fascist,” Harris told host Anderson Cooper, “Yes, I do, yes I do.”
Harris participated in a CNN town hall event Wednesday night, addressing Pennsylvania voters in a Philadelphia suburb. The event at City Hall began Wednesday at 9 p.m. in Chester Township, located less than 32 miles outside Philadelphia.
Earlier Wednesday, Cooper asked Harris about her social media post comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler at the beginning of the debate. Harris emphasized that she believes Trump is “unstable,” but did not directly compare Trump to Hitler.

“I am convinced that Donald Trump is unstable, increasingly unstable, and unfit to serve. And I believe that not everyone has heard what you and I have heard repeatedly. No. The people who know Donald Trump best are the people who worked with him in the White House, in the Situation Room, in the Oval Office, and by the way, all the Republicans who served in his administration, his exes. “The chief of staff, the national security adviser, the former secretary of defense, the vice president, everyone called him unfit and dangerous,” Harris said.

“Trump wants unchecked power,” Harris told X earlier Wednesday, saying he resembles the dictator of Nazi Germany.
“He wants an army like Adolf Hitler that is loyal to him, not the Constitution,” Harris wrote. “He's vacillating, he's unstable, and even if he were given a second term, no one would stop him from pursuing his worst impulses.”
At the town hall, Harris also quoted former Trump chief of staff John Kelly, who claimed to the media that Trump wanted a “Hitler general.”
Far fewer newspapers support Harris than those supporting Clinton or Biden.
“And today, John Kelly, the four-star Marine general and longest-serving chief of staff, recently gave an interview in the final two weeks of this election and talked about how dangerous Donald Trump is. And I think you have to wonder why a four-star Marine general who served with him would say this to the American people now. Frankly, I take it as such, he just issued a 911 call to the American people to understand what will happen if Donald Trump returns to the White House. Please,” she said.
Harris and Kelly's comments come after Trump faced two near-assassination attempts amid heated rhetoric this election cycle.

Trump fired back on his social media site, Truth Social, after Harris and Kelly said Kelly “made up the story out of pure hatred of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“Thank you for your support for a complete pervert named John Kerry who made up a story out of pure Trump Derangement Syndrome hatred! This man has two natures and they don't work together. He's tough and stupid. That's the problem. His strength turned into weakness because over time he became JELLO!” he posted.

“The soldiers' story is a lie, as are many other stories he told. We shouldn't waste our time with him, but we always felt the need to fight back in pursuit of the truth.” “John Kerry is a lowlife,” and the bad general told him, “I no longer seek that advice in the White House, to move on,” his. My wife once told me that at Camp David, John respects you so much that when he leaves the army, he will just speak. Well, I said, “Thank you!”
