Vice President Kamala Harris was ridiculed online by the Trump campaign and other conservatives for “word salad” after her speech in Nevada was interrupted by a heckler Thursday night.
“You know what?” the vice president said in Reno, Nevada, after hearing screams from the audience during his speech. “Let me say something about this.”
“We're here because we're fighting for democracy. We're fighting for democracy. And understanding the difference here, understanding the difference here, Move forward, move forward and understand the difference here.”
As the jeers continued, Harris continued: “What we're looking at is what's different about this election. Let's move forward and see where we stand, because on this issue, for example, it's freedom of choice.” .

“That's fine,” Harris said as the voices of her supporters drowned out the jeers. “It's okay, it's okay.”
“Did you know? Democracy can be complicated, but sometimes it’s okay. We want people to have the right to be heard and not be jailed for expressing their opinions. We know what is at stake.”
Harris quickly drew criticism from conservative critics on social media.

“Another speech was interrupted by protesters and Kamala's condition worsened,” an account run by the Trump campaign posted on X.
Stephen Miller, an adviser to President Trump, wrote in a post on X that he was “cracking under pressure” and “choking every time. Not the qualities you want in a commander-in-chief.”

“The nonsense never ends,” Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce posted on X.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris campaign for comment, but did not immediately receive a response. ”
“Nevada, I'm here asking for your vote,” Harris told the crowd. “I'm asking for your vote. And this is my pledge to you, and I've got your back. As president, I want to meet the challenges you face with common ground and common sense.” I pledge to seek solutions. I'm not trying to score political points. ”
