House Republican leaders spent nearly five hours at the White House on Thursday – some of which, along with President Donald Trump, tried to finalize a summary of the tax and spending reduction package.
The plan is to release a framework that includes some numbers in the coming days.
Fox is being told to expect a trillion dollar cut in spending. The bill would make Trump's tax cuts permanent in 2017. The bill may also include provisions prohibiting taxes on tips.

Doge targets Medicare agencies looking for scams
When asked if plans would be announced Friday, speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News “Nothing Today” about details of the paper or budget package.
“There are no details announced until the end of the weekend, probably not until Monday,” he said.
He said the committee's markup may come on Tuesday, but there are some details to “work out.”
When asked about including a debt cap in the bill, Johnson replied, “I think that's probably part of it, right?”

Asked if Democrats left talks to avoid government shutdowns in March, he said, “It seems like that. From their comments, leader (Hakeem) Jeffries set some kind of government shutdown. It seems they are trying to. We are negotiating. In sincerity, as far as I know, they have not responded as much as the last two days.”
Republicans need a budget framework adopted on the floor so that budget adjustment tools can be used to bypass Senate filibusters. Do you have a budget? There is no settlement option.
