Election season is upon us, and celebrities and pop culture figures are showing up to support Democratic candidates like the Oscars and Grammys combined. This time, they're urging fans to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. But some have been around long enough for Harris' camp to compete with the “Fast and Furious” franchise in terms of number of sequels.
And no one seems to care except their agents and journalists. (Oh, really.) Perhaps that's because, like most of what Hollywood sells to the masses in its day job, it's a very tired rewrite. All of the top 10 movies of 2024 are sequels. It's exactly the same as celebrity support for leftists.
This is why many of the biggest supporters of Ms. Harris have election experience. Some of them, like singers Bruce Springsteen, Linda Ronstadt, and Barbra Streisand, have been reliable spokespeople for the left since Harris was a teenager. Springsteen, 75, is the youngest of that trio.

Billionaire Springsteen (he's only worth $750 million, so cry) has been a left-wing movement since the 1970s, when he joined the reckless “No Nucks” concert lineup. We have been promoting this. The idea that the boss supports Democrats is as reliable as him cashing checks. Celebrity Net Worth estimates the working-class hero's annual income to be $80 million, or about 1,894 times the annual income of a typical working-class American.
Clooney and Hollywood rank next to Harris for celebrity endorsements and funding
Ronstadt was a star in the 1970s who was involved with left-handed causes and Democratic Party star Jerry Brown, the governor of California. The two shared the cover of Newsweek magazine in April 1979 with the headline “Jerry Brown's Pop Politics.” Mr. Brown ran for president in both 1976 and 1980 and has been a force in left-wing politics ever since. And Ronstadt also performed for the Clintons at the White House and fought for Biden in 2020.
And Streisand is so far left that she sang for presidential candidate George McGovern in 1972. She co-starred with James Taylor, Quincy Jones, and Carole King to promote anti-war candidates defeated in the general election by President Richard Nixon. . Harris was only 7 years old at the time.
The media hype of celebrities giving opinions is as old as some celebrities giving opinions. But from today until the election, entertainment news will be filled with brave stars expressing support for the Democratic Party. Just like earlier this year, when most of the world knew that President Biden was a shell of his former self. Or in the case of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Or President Barack Obama, Sen. John Kerry, Mr. Climate, Sen. Al Gore, or President Bill Clinton…
Quentin Tarantino tells Kamala Harris to continue avoiding interviews until election: 'Never do it'

Heck, this is even a sequel to their anti-Trump campaign. We're already in Hollywood vs. Trump Part III. Apparently decades ago, in 2016, during Trump's first run for president, celebrities who tried this script were widely ridiculed.
It was a little more than eight years ago that director Joss Whedon assembled “a bunch of celebrities” to make an anti-Trump video. The group included left-wing heavyweights such as Robert Downey Jr. of “The Avengers,” Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle, as well as TV's left-handed “West Wing” president Martin Sheen.
Whedon and his “Save the Day” entertainers produced a slew of propaganda videos aimed at, in his words, “getting votes and pinging Orange Muppet Hitler.” did. Things didn't go as they planned.

Thanks to social media, the presidential election has now become a must-see event for Hollywood celebrities. Young stars will be participating again this year. Actress Jennifer Lawrence, singer Billie Eilish and “Feminomenon” star Chapelle Lorne are leading the way for Harris' youth supporters.

Roan initially came under fire for posting videos opposing Trump and criticizing “both sides of the issue.” She is an extreme anti-Israel activist and an ideal Democrat, but is frustrated that her party has not completely severed ties with its allies. The next day, she went on to announce, “Yes, I'm voting for Kamala.” Because she received so much negative feedback for daring to criticize the Democratic Party.
Harris, whose public appearances are the embodiment of the show “Veep,” also drew support from Hollywood's only remaining A-list name, Taylor Swift.

That wasn't surprising. Swift is singing for Harris the same way she sang for Biden in 2020. The Queen of Bad Choices is now trying to tell Americans she made the right choice this time. When she endorsed Biden, she made a mind-boggling collection of leftist gibberish.
“The changes we need most are that people of color have the right to feel safe and represented, that women have the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community has the right to choose what happens to their bodies. Electing a president who recognizes that we deserve recognition and inclusion,” she said.
Campaigning for the Democratic Party or bigoted left-wing policies would only strengthen the disconnect between celebrities and their audiences, but for a star of Swift's stature this is little risk. And whether they have appeared on the show or not, their names are published in press releases and news articles about top talent, and everyone remembers their presence. It won't hurt their career. It gives them a boost. If you support a Marxist candidate or an outlandish cause, Hollywood producers will happily ignore everything else you do. Just ask Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski about that.
So consider the next four weeks a blessing of sorts. While the stars may appear to be acting to benefit Harris, many are simply acting to promote their favorite product: themselves.
