This morning, I had the opportunity to visit Arlington National Cemetery with President Trump and the Gold Star families of Sergeant Huber and Sergeant Gee, two of the 13 service members killed in the attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul three years ago today.
As I was there with President Trump to honor the lives of those who made all the sacrifices, I witnessed up close the grief he shared with the families left behind, and expressed my heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices of their loved ones, our brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This is personal to me. I first deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the Hawaii Army National Guard, where I served in a medical unit and faced the high costs of war every day. We lost so many brothers and sisters who never made it back home that long journey, and others who did make it home but died by suicide.
President Trump understands the great responsibility that the President and Commander in Chief has to us and our families, and he values the lives of all of us – our Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. He knows the cost of war. That is not just a lip service. During his first term as President, he not only did not start a new war, he took action to reduce tensions and prevent conflict. He understands the cost of war and has shown that he views war as a last resort, has the courage to meet enemies, dictators and allies alike in pursuit of peace, and will exhaust all the tools of diplomacy.

The same cannot be said about Kamala Harris. In fact, the opposite is true. The Harris-Biden Administration has embroiled us in multiple wars around the world and brought us closer to nuclear war than ever before.
This is one of the main reasons I left the Democratic Party and I intend to do everything in my power to elect Donald Trump as President. I am confident that he will lead us back from the brink of war and set us on the path to peace, freedom and prosperity.
David Marcus: 5 lessons learned from a month of crisscrossing the US during the Trump-Harris battle
Without peace, there can be no prosperity. And we cannot live free as long as we have a government that retaliates against political opponents, violates civil liberties, and weapons government power against those it perceives as a threat. Kamala Harris has shown over the past three and a half years that she will not hesitate to abuse her power to attack her political opponents, especially President Trump. Their latest target is me. They recently placed me on a secret domestic terrorism watch list because I exposed the truth about Kamala Harris' dismal record.

We must reject the illiberal culture of political retaliation that runs counter to who we are and the ideals on which our nation was founded.

We cannot allow our country to be destroyed by politicians who put their own power above the interests of the American people and our country.
Whether you're a Democrat, Republican or Independent, if you love our country and value peace and freedom, I call on every American to do everything in your power to save our country and return President Trump to the White House.
