The iconic Borg Warner Trophy is constant every year at the legendary Indianapolis 500 race.
Each winner gets a name, average speed, and year of winning, weighing around 110 pounds and has a face engraved on a trophy that is 4 inches tall.
The trophy was first announced in 1936, when it was given to Louis Meyer and declared the annual awards for 500 Indy recipients.

The trophy was created in 1935, but since 1911 it honored the winners because its name, year, average speed and face are engraved on the trophy.
In its original form, the trophy was 52 inches tall and 80 pounds of sterling silver. It was created to commemorate the 70 race winners. Two bases were added to the trophy in 1987 and 2004, and when they were added to the trophy, they commemorate the winners from the Indy 500 to 2033.
There is one non-race winner engraved on the trophy, but that is Anton Halman. Halman owned the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1945 until his death in 1977. His face is the only one in the trophy, which is gold.
This trophy is permanently housed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
The Indy 500 will air on Fox on May 25th, with covers starting at 10am. You can also stream live on foxsports.com and the Fox Sports app.
The Indy 500 has officially sold out for the first time in almost a decade. 350,000 fans were expected
