IndyCar driver Kyffin Simpson got caught up in a horrifying crash while practicing for the Indianapolis 500 on Friday.
Simpson rounded the final turn and headed for the front stretch as the rear of the vehicle shaking, losing control. Simpson slammed his left front against the wall and went into the air for a while before he returned. He didn't turn it over.

Parts and debris were littered throughout the track as practice was temporarily stopped before it began again.
“I'm all good, I praise the Lord,” Simpson told Fox Sports after being checked out at the emergency medical centre. “Starting fast on Friday is a difficult way. It's just a weird crash. Everything about it was weird.
“I didn't feel anything right at all from the outlap either. I was perfect for the weight jacker and tried to help the car. I never really felt the way I expected it. It was just weird.

Kaymania drivers have been competing in Chip Gnassi races in the IndyCar series since 2023. He hasn't won the IndyCar race yet.
He finished the best of his career at the Grand Prix at Long Beach earlier this season. He finished on the 10th.
