Supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv FC were reportedly the targets of violence in Amsterdam before and during the match against the soccer team Ajax on Thursday.
Videos posted on social media appeared to show multiple fights in the street.
Spanish media reported earlier in the week that anti-Israel agitators staged a protest targeting the club and its fans outside the stadium where the match was being played.

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, released an exclusive statement to FOX News Digital on Thursday night.
“A pogrom is being waged against Jews and Israelis in Amsterdam,” Danon said. “2024. This has to stop. The 'globalization of the intifada' was not just a slogan for these terrorist sponsors. I call on the Dutch government to immediately support all Israelis and Jews. The time has come to confront these brutal mobs with force.”
Danone also posted a video explaining in detail to X
“We have received very worrying reports of extreme violence against Israelis and Jews on the streets of the Netherlands,” he wrote. “A pogrom is currently occurring in Europe in 2024. This is the true face of the supporters of radical terrorism we are fighting. The Western world needs to wake up now!!

“Now is the time for the United Nations to immediately and unequivocally condemn the violence committed by Palestinians and their supporters. The Dutch authorities must take decisive action against terrorism now.”

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called on Dutch authorities to take action.
The Israeli embassy in the United States also posted a graphic video of the violence.
“Tonight in Amsterdam, hundreds of fans of the soccer team @MaccabiTLVFC were ambushed and attacked as they emerged from the stadium after a match against @AFCAjax. The mob targeted these innocent Israelis. They proudly shared their acts of violence on social media.”
Congressman Ritchie Torres of New York also condemned the violence.
“The hysterical and exaggerated demonization of Israel has led to a global outbreak of anti-Semitic abuse, vandalism and violence,” he wrote to X. “The single most horrifying manifestation of anti-Semitism is the pogrom currently unfolding against hundreds of Jews who have been discriminated against. Cheering for Tel Aviv Football Club in Amsterdam.
“The blood of 21st century pogroms is on the hands of those who incite anti-Semitism. The situation is so dire that the Israeli government has sent rescue teams to help Jews in danger. It's disgusting that pogroms are happening in the 21st century. “
According to Dutch news agency RTL, there were dozens of arrests on Thursday night, most of them before the match.
A spokesperson for the Dutch National Police told the program: “There was some disturbance, including at the dam.” “It's impossible to say who belongs to whom. It's not easy to distinguish between each group. Almost everyone wears black.”

The incident occurred 13 months after Hamas launched terrorist attacks against Israel, killing and kidnapping hundreds of people.

The Jerusalem Post noted that the attack took place just hours after the Netherlands commemorated the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht.
