Excitement at AT&T Stadium was through the roof from early on as nearly 80,000 people expected boxing legend Mike Tyson to take on Jake Paul on Friday night.
However, in the fourth round, the crowd began to quiet down as Tyson began to look like a 58-year-old who hadn't fought professionally in 19 years. After a few minutes, the sound of the boo-boo bird got louder and the crowd grew restless.
The reaction on social media was similar, with many quickly losing interest in the greatest boxing spectacle in modern history. Perhaps adding to the disappointment was a ton of connection issues and several minutes of buffering on Netflix, where the match was being broadcast live.

Granted, almost no one in the crowd wanted to see Jake Paul win, but the entire crowd was booing this match, not just Paul. In the end, Paul won by unanimous decision.
Tyson clearly ran out of gas early, so Paul, who is 31 years Tyson's junior, could have jumped on board, but Paul later admitted he took the pedal off.
“There was definitely a little bit. I wanted to put on a show for the fans, but I didn't want to hurt anyone who didn't need to be hurt,” he said in his postgame press conference. Tyson did not speak to the media.
“I tried to put on the best match I could, but it’s hard to make it exciting when someone’s just surviving in the ring. You can’t get him to engage, get him to land slip shots, super “I couldn’t make them do anything cool or anything,” he added.

NETFLIX under fire as fight fans tuning in to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson face myriad problems
Well, that led to what is widely regarded as a boring battle. In fact, the most exciting part of all of this may have been Tyson's slap at Thursday's weigh-in.
But in Paul's own words, he doesn't care about the negativity.
“I don't care what people say. They always have something to say. It is what it is.”
“The only way people are going to be happy is if Jake loses,” said Nakisa Bidalian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “People think, 'Oh, what a great fight! Mike is a legend!' It would be fine,” he added. (If) he knocked out Mike Tyson, it would have gone eight rounds, “Mike wasn't trying hard enough.” It was an incredible showdown between a 58-year-old legend and a relatively young 27-year-old boxer.
“And (Paul) outboxed Mike Tyson as promised.”
